To educate and guide Party members, officials, and employees to strengthen national defense awareness, honor revolutionary martyrs, and carry forward revolutionary traditions, during National Defense Education Month the Anhui Branch Party Branch organized them to visit the Anhui Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign Memorial Hall on the afternoon of September 18 for a themed Party Day activity.
The Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign was an important campaign of the Chinese People's Liberation Army during the War of Liberation. It liberated major cities including Nanjing, Shanghai, and Wuhan, created important conditions for liberating all of East China and advancing into South and Southwest China, and laid the foundation for nationwide victory.
At the museum, participants visited six exhibition halls in sequence: "Pre-Battle Situation," "Campaign Preparations," "Breaking Through the Yangtze Defenses," "Campaign Victory," "People's Support for the Front," and "Deeds of Heroes and Martyrs." Through artifacts, images, text, and modern audio, lighting, and multimedia methods, the museum vividly recreated the magnificent scene of a million troops crossing the Yangtze River. With the docent's explanations, participants felt as if they were at the crossing site, sensing the firm convictions carried by wooden boats and the people's longing for a new China.
After the visit, Party members and officials exchanged reflections. Party member Wang Yujiao said that the clothing and medals left by revolutionary martyrs in the exhibition halls all demonstrated their noble character of selflessness, fearlessness, and courage. She said everyone should internalize the martyrs' legacy and put it into action, bringing light to their own posts.
Party member Xu Yuanyuan said that seeing the lists of martyrs around the exhibition hall and the young yet resolute faces deeply moved her. She was inspired by the noble spirit of revolutionary martyrs who fought bravely and sacrificed fearlessly for the birth of New China, and said she would remain true to her original aspiration and devote herself more actively to work.
Through the visit and study, participants said they would transform the heroic deeds and noble spirit of revolutionary martyrs into inner motivation and practical action, take their predecessors as examples, and promote concrete results with a more solid work style.
