The "Companion Home: Intelligent Order for the Future" project designed by Huanyu Engineering Consultancy (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. stood out from many entries and won third prize in the professional group's new housing category (70-140 sq m).
Hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the competition aimed to discover and showcase outstanding residential design schemes and promote housing construction across the province toward higher quality and greater comfort. The competition included a professional group, covering new housing and renovation categories, as well as a student group, attracting many leading design organizations in Hubei.
The company's award-winning work, "Companion Home: Intelligent Order for the Future," focuses on a dual-core family composed of a middle-aged couple, children, and elderly parents. It treats the home as an organic living space that grows together with family structure, daily needs, and changing times. Within 138.75 sq m, flexible design and intelligent order allow the space to adapt across the family life cycle, supporting comfortable three-generation living today while reserving possibilities for future elder care and children's growth.
